For those who have after market exhaust installed on their cars, what's the condition of it now since installation? How's it holding up and what signs of wear is it showing??

Would anyone "coat" their expensive exhaust to prolong the durability life of it?

I have a shitty ebay exhaust, and have had it on for almost 2 years now. No signs of wear, but I didn't get a weld hang, i have it held by a metal wrap.

If you pay the money for the system it should last without you having to mess with it.

why buy one... get an 18" glasspack and have a shop make you a 3" or 3.5" exhaust with a tip. it will sound alot better than the fart can exhausts and be much cheaper.

Not sure that can top the smooth elegantly looking Tanabe SMH system.

True if you like to take day-naps curled up under your car.

minus a few scratches on the bottom of the can it looks like new. i clean the muffler with mothers metal polish once or twice a year and wax it about the same and it really keeps it clean. super drager ftw.

as far as the glasspack.... i like to listen to other things than exhaust all the time.

Had an Apex N1 on my 91. it sounded pretty good but had no resonator. the condition of it was exeptable after a good cleaning.

I now have a 92 with the stock exhuast which i love because no one will ever expect it when i sneak up from behind. Its quite and still in decent condition.

I got a 935 DIY exhaust with a Magnaflow 14819 muffler. Still looks perfect. Please do not put a glass pack on it, it's not a farm truck.

glasspacks sound great on my friend's srt4's. just don't be a dope and put them at the end of the exhuast. mount them as close to the downpipe as possible. then you put a nice 4" rolled exhaust tip on the exit out the back. glasspacks were not made to be installed a few inches from the exhaust exit.

stock exhaust hacked right before the stock resonator, mild steel tubing to a glasspack muffler...

yeah, it's loud, drones like mad and overall sucks ass

glasspacks belong in the trash

SRT-4's don't have mufflers anyway
