After market gauge sensor location

I will be installing my gauges this week and was wondering where you guys put your sensors.

Where to put the Oil pressure sensor? I would like to use the stock location on my 1JZ if I can use it and if I can get to it? Anyone use this location when the engine was still in the car?

Water temp sensor, same idea.

Fuel pressure I think I can handle unless someone has any cool tricks.

Not a 1J, but I located mine on the water neck behind the thermostat.

I used this thread as a reference.

I believe we did the oil press when the motor was in the car, but it was a PITA IIRC.

you need an oil press adapter line to distance the sender from the block.. then, generally the sender that comes with gauge will work. (that's with STRI guages)


never attempted the water temp or fuel press.
