Ok I know that the Aeromotive AFPR has a boost reference port on it that raises fuel pressure by a 1:1 ratio, would this be ok to use on my NA-T using 7mge Electronics , Block, and Internals? Or do I need to run a true RRFPR where I can change the ratio of how much fuel is added compared to how much boost is present? I have heard a few different opinions on this and need to know whats up so I can start getting all the parts together. Thanks.

What fuel injectors?
And I believe the Aeromotive AFPR is a rising rate fuel pressure regulator, which means that as boost goes up, pressure goes up. What you are thinking of would be like the Vortec FMU, which is the same thing, except instead of a 1:1 rise (1 psi boost equals base pressure plus 1 psi) it has a 12:1 ratio. so 1 psi boost = base pressure plus 12 psi.
make sense?
Just use a typical AFPR, unless you are using honda sized 260 cc injectors or something.

I attempted, and I really mean "attempted" to use the Rising Rate Regulator and with 550cc injectors, you just can't turn the damn thing down enough to keep from running absolutely pig-squealing rich...unless of course you are a fan of the Go-Go Gadget smokescreen!!! Just use a regular one...it'll be fine.

Thanks for the replies guys just wanted to make sure I was going with the right tool for the job, I am running 440cc stock turbo injectors, btw I also have an safc and lm-1 with rpm kit to tune with. Later.

I'm using a Malpassi as it's low key and antibling!

It's tapped for 1/8 Npt so AN fittings shouldn't be too hard to find if that's the way you want to go.

only malpassi afpr I could find was 235.00, I think I am going with the aeromotive unit...

i just installed my fpr.Got a hose shop to braze a barbed fitting to a banjo so i can use the bolt from the cold start injector hose from my spare motor. After a few fuel weeps ive set the base pressure to 40psi without the vacuum hose and hopefully it works.(havnt gone for test drive yet too sleepy)

23-30psi with vacuum hose.
it idles fine and starts ok.I think i shall change to 30psi at idle then, till fuelpump arrives.

Installed the walbro on thursday night and did the 12v mod this evening.Went for a quick run along the hwy and am wondering about this fuel pressure up vsv.Has anyone disconnected/bypassed it?Whats this vsv's role in the fuel pressure?
btw i think the fuelpump isnt as noisy as other pumps ive heard.I was sort of hoping it was a lot louder than it is:3d_frown:
