It gives you zero extra horsepower, all else being equal.

Only way to get more power out of this, is to crank up the boost. With the Lex AFM and fuel tunning/larger injectors, you can get more Hp this way.

Clear as mud?

I'll try and let you know. I have an AEM and can run the stock AFM, Lex, speed density and even a GM hotwire. I'm planning to compare the difference in power without fuel cut bieng an issue (at high boost thru a 67mm turbo). I have all of the mentioned sensors here, at my disposal so, I figure, why not? Don't hold your breath though, it may be a little while until I get around to it.

BTW, I noticed your signature indicates an N/A Supra bandit, you know a Lex AFM isn't a mod for an N/A car, right?

Like Shawndude said the purpose of the Lexus AFM is not to give you extra horse power. Its purpose is to be used in conjunction with other supporting fuel modifications(i.e. 550cc injectors and Walbro fuel pump) to SAFELY raise the level of fuel cut. So that you can run a few more pounds of boost before hitting it. So the ultimate purpose of the Lexus AFM is to make ready you engine to safely run more horsepower

It's going to depend on whether your AFM is your current bottleneck at your mod level. If you've got a stock turbo running stock boost you probably won't get any power. If you're running a huge turbo with a lot of boost you will definitely gain some power.

by slapping on a lex afm..you will gain NOTHING...doesnt matter what turbo or anything you are running...

its the fact that it will allow you 25% more airflow...in turn you can run more boost...THIS is what will give you more power.... more air, more fuel, more boost...THATS where the extra power comes from...the lex afm is a tool to allow that.

Think of it as a restrictor plate (shudders at Nascar reference). You can only flow so much air through a small hole. If your AFM is the bottleneck, you will gain power from the Lexus AFM.

i completely understand what you are saying bish...my question to you is...whats the point of having more air if you cant do anything with it? more air ALONE isnt going to net you any gains in power...

As I said before "It's going to depend on whether your AFM is your current bottleneck at your mod level." Lets say you've got a SP61GT and all the supporting mods except the stock AFM. You think at 25psi the stock AFM won't be a restriction?
