OKAY..."deep breath" here we go. FIRST and FOREMOST before i began to attempt to start typing all of this out i just wanted to say ahead of time yes i know some of the ways i did parts of my build are not to standard "youll see what i mean later", but when it comes down to it, its my car, my parts and i do the build my way with the tools that i have.
also i want to give a HUGE thanks to a few of the people that have really helped me out so far with this build.
my girl RUBY for putting up with my bitching and spending habits
jesus "Supraman84" for always letting me go back and forth from his car to mine letting me look to make sure all the hoses are connected correctly, t- fittings, ect. and for always helping me out on the car when i needed it.
david "defi" for the constant help on the supra whenever i make a call.
"ryeno" for the outstanding job and extremely quick time on converting my harness.
First a little history about the car. I originally bought it while i was still stationed in fort lewis "tacoma", washington in 2009ish. the car started out as a NA 5speed, hardtop wingless, that the dealership (infiniti of tacoma) called it an eye sore and had it parked in the back where noone could see it. it was painted in a chameleon color (blue, purple, green) with a cracked bomex primored front bumper. it was missing two dash panels, a lock on the drivers side door, and the inside passenger door handel bezel. When i first pulled into the dealership there were close to 50 people standing around it waiting to test drive it. so i quickly took a good look around it inside and out and went ahead and went inside and told them that i would take it, well after about two hours waiting on people to finish test driving the car, some of the people decided that they wanted to buy it. well i quickly informed them that i had already started my paper work and had already signed for the vehicle before i had even sat in the car. so needless to say i just cut 50 people off from buying my supra. after a year in washington i soon got orders to fort carson Colorado where i am still at today, and where the build is being taken place.
OKAY now that everyone is up to speed, lets begin the build.
in December of 2010 i got orders to deploy again for january time frame. so as most would do i started driving my car as much as possible before i left. well one late night when i was headed to a meet with another supra friend of mine jesus. yes his name really is jesus. my clutch had decided to give out, thus i damn there had to idle down hill for a few miles to get it back on post. well from there i had told my girl ruby that i could either buy a new clutch for my NA or i could save the money for my swap that i was eventually going to do reguardless well needless to say she bought it and said that i could go ahead with the swap. so knowing that i was getting ready to leave in a few weeks i quickly pulled the old motor and tranny out and started prepping the engine bay for paint.
