A while back, I posted up about how the AEM meth injection pumps are evidently not entirely waterproof. Well, my new one came in today, so I figured I'd post some before / after pics.

Old and busted:

PS: The new one is going in the hatch, away from any unkind water trying to ruin my day.

I just got mine a few months ago and the newer pump does flow better. Less pulsation. It's a far better design compared to the old one.

A little tidbit here... The company that makes these pumps for AEM also puts them in to Motorhomes, Campers, and Camp Traliers.

^Yep.

Zum: There may be a difference with the insides. Someone told me that the parts under the silver plate dictate how the pump functions in regards to pulsation and recirculation.

I don't know for sure, I just remember someone mentioning something along those lines. So you will want to research that.

I come from a land down under
Dave's dead pump looks like it failed from being full of water, just getting wet shouldn't affect them all that much :(

I'll have to check the vents on mine and if needed add a drain as it's mounted under the inner fender.
