I just got my aem in the mail today, just was wondering if anybody here has used the aem and if they have any hint or tips or even a program I can load on to my ems?

The mapping would be very specific on your application.
Different setups will require different mapping.
I beleive the AEM website has some maps that users have made available in the forum section that may be a good base line. The support for the product is very good.
The best thing would be to dyno tune the EMS for your application and needs.

and to add to what bluemax said

dyno tune AND wideband setup on your own. Remember the EMS has no "safety" features. What ever you put in the EMS is what it WILL attempt to run. Motor be damned ;)

i'm using aem ems on my 1jz..

they should have a start up calibration.. or on the aem board check for user posted maps that are similar to your car..

remember these are base maps just to start and drive your car to get it tuned..

Start conservative and work your way up to a good tune checking often along the way!

One thing to be aware of with the Wideband is if it's run rich there's a chance you could foul the sensor and this will give you inaccurate readings.

on the topic of aem.. anyone know where to get a Steel 3/8 NPT bung for the GM IAT? my charge pipes are steel :(

If you cant find one, make your own...Take a schedule 40 steel pipe that is the same size as your charge pipe, cut a small square section out. Then weld it to your pipe, drill it with the approprate size drill bit, and then tap it with a 3/8npt tap.
