Advice: trans/diff drain and fill. Issues now

Did a simple drain and fill on both the trans and the rear diff. I used Mobil synthetic gear oil 75w-90. Now on turns, it seems the rear wheels "skip" like with a welded diff.

Did I use the wrong fluid?

You need an LSD additive in your differential to avoid chattering the clutch plates. When severe, it can act similar to what your diff sounds like it's doing.

iirc, Ford additive is highly thought-of, whereas I have always used Kendall (since it's what we have at work) without issue.

If you used Mobil synthetic gear oil "LS" 75w-90, it's too slick of an oil for that diff to begin with and you'll have issues with or without the modifier (since there's LS modifier already added). I know I did. Grab yourself 2 quarts of either Redline NS, Penzoil or Motorcraft gear oil in the correct weight. Then sparingly add a friction modifier like the Motorcraft mentioned above.

Fail on my half. Thanks

Do you think I could get away with 80w-90 with some friction modifier? I have that on hand for free at the shop. If not, no biggie
