Kay here it is.

Find a pioneer head unit that has an external outlet for a standard headphone jack

Get a double sided one.

Plug one side into ipod

Other into stereo

Problem solved. Thats how i did it the easy way

I bought mine on e-bay. The ipod cable is sold seperate and I bought that at tweeter. I ran the wire where the shifteris and brought it out by the e-brake and the put it up into the center console. I was happy with it. If you put the ipod on hsuffle and then plug it in, it keeps it on shuffle through the head unit and tells you what song it is...

alright, Since I sell this shit for a living, I think I can help. Depending on exactly what Pioneer deck you have, you can either plug the double sided headphone cable in or you can get this DIN adapter thing. the adapter thing is around 20-45 bucks and gives you a ton of inputs. (One will be for the Ipod and will charge it while it plays.)

Either of these will sound IMMMENSLY better than the shitty FM transmitters. The only decent transmitters are at least 70 bucks. (Unless you live out in the sticks, then they'll all be better because there is less interference)

But a shitty direct set-up(cables or the adapter) will give you better sound quality than ANY FM transmitter or cassette adapter.

I hardwired my radar dectector and my satalite radio behind my head unit so there is no wires or mess, its not hard... just make sure the things you are wiring in are 12v...some cell phones and other things have a transformer in the charger head to convert it into a different voltage...as long as you know that its 12v you can hardwire it into any power sorce.

i put one of these in my truck. my model cd player is a *bit* old and the unit doesn't function 100% the way it's supposed to, but i got it all figured out now, and can easily find what i'm looking for. sound quality is that of a CD. (or as good of quality as the music that you have on your ipod)

I wouldn't recommend that pioneer adapter unless you have a Pioneer radio that has a 'list' button. Example: Model # Deh-P680MP, Deh-P780, etc, etc...

If you can wait.... The new Pioneer radios coming out in a few months will have a Ipod cable like the Alpines. Its just a single cable opposed to a modual box like the one posted above.

That means its faster (BIG DEAL), cheaper, easier to install :)
