ok it has come time for me to install the crank and i started sliding the bearings in and i noticed that one of the oil holes doesn't line up. The very first main journal has an off set hole and so does the third and it only came with one offset bearing. I can't find my old bearings to see it this is normal but is it?

today is your lucky day. I just took apart my engine with ACL bearings and read this and went and took a look at it. I didn't even notice that the oil hole on the 3rd journal is offset, but your right the bearing will cover up a little bit of that hole, like you saw. I also don't have any toyota bearing around to check if they are the same or not, but I can say that the 3rd main journal was in great shape just like all the others. (actually my first main journal was more worn than any others, probably just some dirt at some time)

I come from a land down under
I used ACL's in my dyno mule that burnt a piston when an Injector leaned out during a power run and wouldn't have hesitated to reuse the same bearings as they were perfect when I pulled the motor down.

If you have the correct clearances and enough Oil in the motor at all times the bearings should never touch the crank while running.
