I'm wanting to up my boost 12-13 PSI. I ordered a cooleeze turbo inlet. I researched and found that I can drill a hole in it and thread a piece on to connect an air filter (breather type) on the turbo inlet to have a little more unmeasured air. Can anyone correct this if it's wrong. It makes sense to me, the question is would it allow possibly 13 PSI? Has anyone else done this to confirm?

You run the possibility of leaning your engine out by allowing unmetered air in. Leaning out the A/F ratio can cause damage from detonation and getting things way too hot. Could accelerate the 7m's headgasket problem, or possibly damage other things like pistons.

Summary of above : Not a good idea

Oh yes of course, I know this. I do not think it would allow much more air. Like using an FCD defencer device for raising FCO slightly maybe 1 psi. I just need a small temporary raise until I upgrade my fuel system and other mods. I loved the power with rasied boost up until fuel cut.

Why run the risk of detonation because of impatience? You can't mod temporarily.

The answer to your original question is Yes, you can. No, you shouldn't.

PS I'm putting a bigger turbo on and getting a custom 4" intake made so if anyone wants a cooleeze intake and can wait a few weeks it will be for sale soon! :)
