ac question help

i have 1986.5 mk3 would taking out the ac comprressor and ac tubing stop me from having heat during the winter thankx:aigo::aigo:

nope I removed my AC on my 86.5 last fall and my heat still blew fine during the winter, wasn't as hot as my other cars but I'm in need of a new heater core.

No, you are probably in need of a new control valve for the heater core. They stick with old age. So does the solenoid controlling the valve.
