ABS in my 03 Camry

I got stuck on my way home from class today. I got myself unstuck by rocking back and forth, and a shovel.

About half way through rocking back and forth I noticed my ABS and 'Brake' like came on.

I pulled my car into works bay, jacked it up and visually checked all my lines, and plugs. Everything is visually normal. I pulled the negative battery for about 10 minutes and I still have the two warning lights, as well as no ABS.

any one have any suggestions?


Also: could I cause harm by driving the car with this problem, whatever it may be?

Check the brake fluid level, and check the fuses.

Fuses (fusible link) is good.

Didn't think about checking brake fluid... i'll do that in a bit.

I know you said you checked plugs, but what about the sensors? I don't see how you could hurt anything, it's an ABS car with no ABS

Well, I didn't run any tests or anything, but I visually inspected them, and they looked just fine.

I would check the ABS codes, it'll give you a much better idea where to look than anyone on here can.

I just found out I could do that on a Camry board, it'll get done as soon as I get home from school
