Aaron is doing the swap for me, and here's what I've lined up so far:

3" Y-pipe-back exhaust, using the DM downpipe, 3" high flow cat, and RS*R GT-II.
New EXEDY Clutch Kit.

Other than that, the rest will be stock. I'm on a very, very tight budget. The entire swap cost is being accumulated betwen now and mid-November. As of today, the clip is paid for. I'll "probably" have an extra $500-$700 to diddle with other stuff. What do you guys think I should upgrade before I leave DM?

EDIT: I'm sold on the Koyo race radiator. That's now on the list.

definitely get new rad either oem works fine too if you're on tight budget, or get upgraded rad if you have extra cash.

i would say replacing all belts is priority. also the rear main seal because its a pain to get to.

if aaron is doing it he will pretty much tell you what you need as i was about to use him for refrence on what you need hehe. but if your on a budget i'd say those are priority.

I agree, reseal the engine. Those are harder to get to. Radiator can be changed out quite easily IF it needs to be changed

It is. Aaron does all the seals and whatnot. I'm already sold on the raidiator, but if I had that and one more thing, what would you guys suggest?

Edit: And I'll be keeping my CAI. It should fit with the 1JZ inlet pipe location.

instead of the rsr why not get aaron's custom exhaust with the carbon TI? dunno just an idea. I would probably save the money too.

Just for the record, I made 293@12psi with the same basic mods you listed. That's pretty average for a 1J with freed up exhaust.

No boost controller.

You drove kyle's car right? So you know what to expect. Stock twins will keep you happy for a good while.

With 700 bucks I would buy a rad, 2j water pump , thermostat, t-belt and cam /crank seals and yes, you will need a BCC with an open exhaust and y pipe ( 17.9psi at 50*F these engines love the cold nights :aigo: ) . It's nice to get all this done while the engine is out, not a fun job later. COngrats and good luck to you !!!

I'm assuming he's already being set up with a complete JZA70 clip, right blackmkiii?(what's your name anyway)

No need to change the fan setup.
