well, its as complete as its going to get, i'm throwing in the towel. *this is not a for sale posting* more like a tribute and farewell to the car before it finds a new home. its been a good long ride with this car, as it was my 5th supra owned (had an 89 7mge, 86 7mgte, 89 1jzgte, 86 1jzgte, and then this one started as a 91 7mgte) and its gone through a lot of changes.

soon after i bought it the stock 7m seized up on the freeway, which gave way to me swapping my 1jz from my previous car into this one. with the 1jz swap this car was getting closer and closer to my long dream of the perfect mk3 supra. as a 91 model it was already more rare than most mk3's found on the road, not to mention the hardtop with factory sunroof option, and in a super white package. i thought it the perfect candidate to build.

The car was quickly shaping up after the motor swap was complete, it was a mildly built 1jz, with usdm 2jz cams, jdm 2jz injectors and map sensor, tubular 2.5-3in y pipe, full alluminum fmic and hardpipes, stock twins and bov, stock boost and computer, 3in rsr downpipe and hks 85mm cat back. round out the chassis with tein ha coilovers, enkei racing forged 2 piece whieels with massive yokohama tires, cusco strut bars, 4.30 lsd, jdm fog lights and taillights, euro front turn signals and bubble marker lenses, and the interior.. i was able to procure a facrtory jdm momo steering wheel and recaro seats.. the car was becoming the total package i had envisioned.. it was relatively fast (ran 12s in the 1/4 and did 160+ on the freeway), handled great, and was comfortable and fun to drive. but to its demise the 1jz finally gave out, melted a piston, and regretably i parted out most of what made the car so special.

dormant for 3 years now it has a 1ggte under the hood, i got it wired up and running, turn key. but it needs a tranny and i just dont have the energy for it anymore. i think my dream of the car died 3 years ago when i took it all apart, and i just cant do it again. its still a great platform, and has the potential to become even more special now than it was, if the right person wants to make it happen.

in case anyone's interested, they use w58's, just get the bell housing, and a 3sgte clutch works, my friend also has a 91 white package with a 1G-GTE, I love the thing, he has a spare 1G-GTE, but i don't have the funds yet, otherwise I'd rock the 1G as well..

good luck in your future endeavors!
