For anyone who missed my introduction in the other threads, my name is Ryan Cooper and I am Carson Howard's cousin. I just got home from Carson's interment and it's safe to say that there was no sadder place in the world this morning than on the windswept hillside of that cemetery.

I wanted to take a moment to sincerely thank all of you for your kind words and deeds in this time of grieving for my family. I know that both Grant and his mother Reneau have looked at your posts here at the website and they both mentioned to me how moving it was for them to know that Carson had touched so many lives all over the country and the world. I understand that it's hard to know what to say to someone who has just lost their son or their baby brother but you guys and girls came through and your words helped the family in their time of sadness. I don't know what else to say but thank you. All of you should be proud of yourselves as individuals and as a community. Please be safe out there and always keep a special thought for my cousin because I know he was as "Supra-crazy" as the rest of you.

Thank you,
Ryan Cooper

The help and support from this forum moved me to tears, after only totaling my car. So I know that the outpouring of love and support that has been showed is very genuine. This is the greatest community that I have ever been a part of. I have been to several events around the country and beyond, and am a member of several automotive websites, and I have never met a bad Supra owner from this site. If we get a bad apple, Mike (SupraCentral) sees to it that they are not here long. Not every community, and no other website is like it.

I am very saddened by what happened with Carson. These cars are pretty tough, and it is pretty rare that life is lost in one. It is a powerful sportscar, so accidents do happen, but occupants are usually somewhat safe. But like anything, there are no guarantees.

We, as a community Thank you and the entire family for informing us.

It is really hard when some one dies. It is even worse when they taken at a young age. A few years ago some friends were fishing one of them thought it would be a good idea to go up and spot fish from the train bridge... long story short you cannot outrun an Amtrak. I still have a railroad spike from the track and I remember that i was at home watching wishmaster when we got the call. But slowly you heal and you live. I hope his family remembers to live , I pray that the holiday season will not be remembered as the time their son was called home but that it is a time of love and to rejoice in the memory of their sons life

If nothing else, this community is here for support. Whether that support comes in the form of mechanical help, life advice or emotional healing we are here to help each other out. I've only met a few members from here in person and they've been some of the nicest, most genuine people I know.

I'm glad to hear that we were able to provide some small portion of support in your time of need. We'll be here if you need anything.

I'll think of Carson next time I punch the gas in the Supra...

Hey Ryan Youre very welcome!!

In closing: At least for me)
Also, This is a new experince for me, this is the first time that I reached out to someone that I didn't know at at all. This was a learing experince for me as well.
I feel the same way as "Suprarx7nut feels. he said it right, In the Supra community we, are all brothers/sister that share the same common interest, we,..all as members help each other out, weather its mechanical, emoitional or what ever it is, someone will respond. When the tools are clean, and the beer's are open, we head over to the "off topic lounge" and say what's on our mind, what ever bugs us, that's how we get close and bond.
I never thought That a Toyota Supra could bring so many lives together, reaching out to total strangers.
God bless, you, your family, and everyone here,...Be safe!! "Happy Holidays"
