A little help guys......

OK I posted here about a week ago with thoughts of selling my car since I needed a DD for college. I have definately made up my mind of keeping the car throughout college. So to do that I want the car in tip top condition. So I am going to list some things I need some opinions on to button the car up. I just started my car for the first time in a week I would say and it is about 40 degrees I am guessing outside right now,maybe 50 IDK but anyways, she STARTED RIGHT UP! I am having it warm-up right, just idleing. I have my room window open and the car is just out front so I can see it also. WOOT! Music to my ears! Anyways I am going to list what I would like to fix up.

Speedo failed now for the second time after passing 100 MPH - I do have the vehicle speed sensor code BTW if that matters but I dont think so since the speedometer is cable driven.

I have a brake leak that I think I am going to try and fix today, since the new line came in earlier. My brake booster/master cylinder is going out on me. Right where the two meet, there seems to be what sounds like a vacuum leak.

Have no turbo pressure what so ever, also threw that code, I looked over the IC pipes but didnt see anything visually, could there be a tear in one of the pipes. Or maybe I just missed it. Dont have air compressor as of now, on the list to get though.

Knock sensor code also was thrown. Need to rewire those puppies.

As I am listening to my idle, I can hear a rattling noise but with a higher pitch to it with the rev of the motor. Its up by the fan. I think it may be the timing belt tensioner pulley. I think I will regret not replacing that when I did the build. AHH.

Valve lash Definately! When I put in the SS Spark plug Galley a few weeks ago. I couldn't even slip a 0.038 feeler gauge in between the came lobe and the shim. Is that normal? I think I may need smaller shims or something along those lines.

Timing is around 10-12*

Vacuum is 16-17"

My idle after the car is warmed up, kind of bounces around. Has a little miss to it.

The Bird has been gone since day 1! Ive added cooalnt to the overflow tank and it the cage light just seems to stay on.

I think that is all I can think of for right now. Just trying to get the Car drivetrain in tip top performance. Maybe this could be my DD. Anyways I will have to get a video up sometime later on this week. Please give me some advice on what I have listed so far. THX IN ADVANCE.....

^ There's that big vac line going into the brake booster that could be leaking, the check valve on that hose, the grommet where the hose goes into the booster... I don't think the MC and the booster have to seal together, but the little diaphragm inside could be crapp I suppose.

^Check the boost hose on the bottom of the turbo. It may look good, it may feel good, but I have had SOOO many problem with that stupid thing. Also when a compresser is available to you, use it. Try blowing through the stock BOV?

^ Tune up? Plugs/wires? o2 sensor? TPS?

^ no offense, but that sounds like quite a few problems, my advice would be to find a $2-400 Honda and drive until you fix all that stuff. The torch the Honda, make a vid, and then start boosting. If you HAVE to have the car as a DD, you want it to be as dependable as you can make it. That's just my wooden nickel's worth.

Well THX Supraman! I should get these things all figured out slowly but surely. You guys will see my thread in the WTB section in a week or two I would say.

DAMN I didnt new that..... Anyways My WG arm is a little bent. Maybe my WG is stuck open? Leading to no boost what so ever.

Bent would keep it closed... making you boost too much. The stock arm is slightly bent to fit around all the crapp under the turbo.

*edit*
I guess if it was 'bent' meaning it was straightened out a bit.... that would leave it opened, but you would eventually boost some I would think. I am in no way an expert on turbos though. Info on it not boosting must be sought elsewhere.

Can you hear the turbo whirling through the exhaust?
