Repost? Yes. Heres what I posted in the other thread!

That pipe isnt stock. A stock one has a resonator. And that WTF vac port is for the idle screw or sotmhing. Dont touch it. Thats what they told me lol.

Yeah, I accidently clicked submit instead of preview on the other thread and I forgot to ask about the fan shroud on that one so I got rid of the pic and left a note asking a mod to delete.

yeah you should have a shroud, and i don't know about n/a's but driving w/o one on the turbo will overheat real quick on surface streets ( i tried it)

there should be a shroud and an underbody shroud that covers from the front lip to just under the front of the engine, without it the engine doesn't get the proper flow of cold air and with the extra heat of a trubo or hot weather that is BAAAD... but if you haven't noticed any heat issues i wouldn't worry. I have a BHG and when my car didnt have an air bubble stuck in the system it held fine temps and i think most can get by without those things, but they help nonetheless... i read once that the underbody shroud thing helps much more at highway speeds..

just watch your temps.

that pic is blurry so i'll show you my engine bay, kinda small but...

resonator is designed to match the soundwaves of the intake and nullify them. in short, it kills the intake sound with an inverted copy of the sound itself; works kinda like a muffler.

thats my guess. earlier this year my accordian pipe next to the TB broke and i replaced the whole section from the MAF to the TB with a pontiac intake pipe (eww, but it was all i could find at the junkyard). looks a bit cleaner, but im waiting for a custom section in a black matte finish.

Its hard to tell what or where that vacuum line went.

I seriously wouldn't worry about it.

If you can get away without emissions testing you can pull ALL your vacuum lines except for:

-heater pot
-Cruise (if hooked up)
-Fuel pressure reg

All the others you really don't need if you're not emissions minded.

And yes, that big round thing in your N/A intake is an air intake muffler.

the cold weather is a plus..., but I took my fan shroud off because it was broken all to hell and back. It not being there causes the engine to lug wether you are over heating or not, you are definitley not getting the propper gas mileagae. My fan shroud is hels together by zip ties and epoxy. Toyota wants 112.00 plus tax for a new one, it is a dealer only part. I lost my power steering cap it is a dealer item, I bet they want 50 bucks for one.
