So I got my car diagnosed by a shop as opposed to feeling around in the dark about problems. thought I had a BHG because of occaisional coolant smoke and oil smoke out of my exhuast.
They said that the coolant was a leak in my throttle body somewhere and that they would have to R+R to locate it. Any ideas what Area that could be from, Throttle body Gasket? I just want to be able to order the part before I take it apart.

R+R? reading and relaxation? lol Hope it's R&D!

Check out the online supra TSRM and start reading about the cooling and intake systems. Empower yourself against that R+R crap dealers will charge you for :)

best bet is the isc. theres coolant hoses that run into that and the tb to heat that mofo up. and when they deteriorate, they become a major pita as well as a coolant leak.

I 'by-passed' the coolant feeds into my throttle body about 4 months ago. I just pulled the hoses off it, and put them together with an 8mm (5/16") brass pipe and hose clamps.

I did it to have a 'cooler' throttlebody for cooler air intake. I like the performance much better now.

If your leak is in the ISC, you can by-pass the coolant , same as I did on the throttlebody, but you should probably get a new one.
