Just wondering if there is any kind of write up or process of taking the whole a/c system out. I did search, but just found bits and pieces of what to do. Questions like is there anything to leave on, anything to plug up after removing, just anything I need to watch out for??? I pretty much know how to take it all off, just need smaller details on the removal. Thanks

i removed mine, pretty straight forward. only thing i think you need to plug, is the two ends on the passenger side, by the charcoal canister, where the AC lines ran into the cabin. good luck.

just did mine a while back, really easy took about an hour. theres valves to realease the freon before you take off the lines near the condensor. it says not to do that but i did. adnt ehn just plug the 2 ends as mentioned.

If it's for weight savings a Supra with no aircon is a bit like a Fat Chick Drinking Diet Coke.....

If it's because you can't get it working ask around and find someone that can, a Mk3 is NEVER going to be a lightweight no matter how much you strip out and it just makes the car unattractive if you try and sell it.

its not really for weight savings...it just doesnt work and the condenser is missing so i'd rather stick some money somewhere else rather than to fix up the rest of the a/c to make it work. i didnt know if it caused a little more drag on the engine to have to operate another pulley. i know it wouldnt be much but thought it wouldnt hurt it. also just to clean the comparment up and add some extra space.

what should I plug those two ends with....i havent been back there yet so i didnt know.

i removed everything aircon related in my car last week (including wires relays thermos etc etc... temp switches on thermostate housing)

i've got mine removed. everything from the compressor, lines, condensor, drier, connectors, and even the evaporator from behind the dash. ;) i plugged the hole in the firewall using fiberglass.

here's a note for those of you who do this: be careful! have a professional drain the system for you, it's dangerous! be very careful not to strip any threads, and tape bags over the ends of all the lines and fittings to prevent any dust from getting in there.

do all this in case you ever decide to re-install the AC. box it up, and stash it someplace safe.

Note that it takes about as long to remove the evaporator from behind the dash as it does to remove the rest of the A/C system. And then you end up with a good size hole in the firewall and an evaporator that looks much heavier than it actually is.
