Big thanks goes out to:

-Sound Performance and all the guys there. Chris, Larry, Tim and all the rest of the gang. They opened up the shop to all of us for Chi2k6 and were very friendly not to mention they let me use the shop to install my boost controller.

-Nelson, Chris, and every one else who helped put the event together this year.

-Every one who attended this years event. For those of you who didn't participate or even show up (with or without a supra) you guys should BOO yourself. Little reasons like "I had to work at Mcdonalds" or "My turbo was making a funny noise.... like it always does." "My turn signal fluid was low" "Blah blahalbalbhlahblahba" just don't help the supra community. Frankly most (not all) excuses are like sh!t - Cheap and stinky.

-All the guys who sported the MDC shirts and rep'ed MDC stickers the whole event.

-Rich (you know who you are) who brought us an alternator all the way from south Illinois

-All of the MDC Motorsports Crew

i had an awesome time, even without my car.

was happy to finally meet the mdc crew as well as a few new guys at the meet.

hopefully next year more mk3 guys will show up. i was a little disappointed with the turn out in that respect, esp considering there are several in the area. i still had a blast, those who didnt make it really missed out.

I had a great time!

Jon/Matt - It actually western Illinois, near the mississippi. Glad you guys made it home OK. My friend Tom had a pile of those alternators laying around... :biglaugh:

Due to lots-o-problems*, my best track time was achieved literally launching at 1,500rpm and driving down the track. :biglaugh: 13.4@111mph with 2.3 60' on 12psi of boost and Kumho Supra tires. :biglaugh:

I managed one lousy dyno pull before the turbo let go. :1zhelp: 19psi, 10.00:1 AFR (very, very rich), mustang dyno @ Sound Performance...

422rwhp / 421tq

Thanks to Nelson & Chris for putting this together. Thanks Jon for your support on the turbo and bringing the restrictor (too late).

* lots-o-problems includes - smoking turbo, dead EGT gauge, broken new tranny, 2nd tranny never arriving, bad syncros on 3rd tranny, temporary slipping clutch (which fixed itself), dead walbro + wire (now rewired w/ relay), corrupted RT Tuner software which lead to accidently $%^*ing up the settings in MAFTPRO, broken rear 90 degree elbow hose, fouled O2 sensor, VERY smoky turbo and a few things I'm missing in there. :1zhelp:

Ahhh, I didn't realize you were the Rich on here that was at Chi! (kind of forgot). It was nice to see you put down some nice numbers even with a suicidal turbo:biglaugh:.

I was the big Korean guy (that looks Hawaiian and/or Mexican:icon_conf ):nono: (Damn you, Jon) that put down 267rwhp (Mustang Dyno = 307rwhp to DynoJet).

I was only there for Friday and Saturday and it was a BLAST. It was nice to see everyone gather up and aside from the annoying "junior dragsters" and snowmobiles at Lakeway....It was 2 of the best days of my life! :icon_surp
Plus it was nice to meet a lot of new people and....see....some old faces...
those old faces....being faces....I see like......every....other weekend or so..

..

:icon_conf God, I suck.

-Jeff

Ironically, a $100 cert. from MDC for a turbo rebuild. :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh: :biglaugh:

(For those that weren't there, the turbo died on the dyno...)
