id buy a topend gasket kit and a hks stopper headgasket and put the rest of the money in a saveings account and wait.....

a stopper gasket is 300 just by itsself.... 600 to get it properly done? maybe.

hg - 320+shipping
arp - 120+shipping
machine work and vavle adjustment - 500
gasket set - 60?

thats already 1k. not including oil, coolant, and all of the other parts that you should be replacing along with the HG...

if anything, do a compression test, and a leak down test, and re-torque the head bolts if you think it hasnt already had a BHG job done to it.

Never got into my car yet and said "wow, nothing to fix" but it takes time and patience. Right now I would drop $650 into dealer struts/shocks and $150 into new carpeting. That last $100 is gasoline.

I have $700 in my supra reserve account, after my fluid changes, Belts, Thermostat, rad cap, and upper / lower rad hoses,. I'm still running on the Toyota HG with the factory torque specs. Does it ever end?
You guys are bumming the new guy on the block out. :(
