89T mbc and exhaust

My cousin just bought a supra 89T and we finally figured out what was wrong. It was a plugged cat and its a different car now. Wow. My question is how much power will a stock supra running at 10 psi with a mbc and apexi exhuast have . Just approximately. He has been having a ton of fun but he does hit fuel cut when its cold outside. Second favor if anyone knows, is how to set up a home made fuel cut circuit like the MR2 T except I have not found where I can find a write up.

well.. stock is 230 hp, im guessing its only a catback exhaust so maybe +10-15 hp? stock boost is about 5.5 - 7.5 so the extra few pounds maybe give u + 25 hp? id say about 250-260 ruffly at the motor. Gotta also figure it milage, motor wear/age and state of tune.

Thanks for the reply. The Mr2 T gain about 10 hp per psi (of course the stock turbo). I was curious if someone here found a relationship similar to that on the supras. Im assuming more power per psi.

well the mr2's use similar turbos dont they? but yea u can pretty much guesstimate 10 hp per psi. on stock turbo.

are the mr2's the ones that use the ct-20b? those turbos are suppose to be alot more effcient than the ct-26 which dont hold till redline while the ct-20b does...

do the mr2's also use the 3sgte engine? if so those can upgrade to around 275whp without doing any mods to the fuel system...

about 10 HP per pound? yes, under perfect conditions with proper turbo size and intercooling exc

the us mr2 use the ct26 and the jap use the ct20 using a ceramic impeller if I remember correctly. The supra produces more power with less boost and Im thinking psi per psi with the ct26 on both cars (I cant remember what the differenct between mr2 and supra ct26) the supra will make more power . At 10 psi my mr2 is making stock power 200 at the crank. At 13 psi around 200 rwhp.

I know for a fact that the supra at 13 psi will be much faster. Supra is a great platform and If I had the room id buy one now and make it a second project. :icon_conf Maybe in the near future!
