89+ WIndow Bezels

Anyone know a good source to obtain the window switch bezels for 89+?

Ive got shadow grey interior and need to find a good condition bezel w/ or w/out switch.

Also are the bezels darker then normal factory grey? or are they the same?

what the hell is a window bezel?

Do you mean the exterior glass trim for the rear quarter windows? do you mean the plastic interior panels?

For future reference, Bezels are typically small trim pieces that encompass/accentuate items of a focal point, like door locks, door handels, turn signals, head lights, etc.

do you mean the door lock switch bezels? or maybe the Power window switch bezels on the door panels by the grab handles?

i wish i had some gray 89+ parts for you. i only have Dark Gray pre-89 bezels with switches, and maroon 89+ bezels w/ switches.

I only have a gray pre 89 Bezel as well with the door pull (passenger side) and a non working 90 switch which I purchased on Ebay. Also have pre 89 driver side bezel only in gray.

They're a bit pricey for what you get, but you're not going to have much luck finding them used, so you may want to shell out the $20.

Jeff is there a difference between the grey and shadow grey window switch bezels? If not can i use a bezel from pre 89 on a 89+? and use the 89+ switch?

I tried using the pre 89 bezel on the passenger side of my 1990 and it did not fit correctly (almost fit). So I took the switch part out of the pre 89 bezel frame and put it in my 1990 bezel. Also Jeff mentioned on another thread on SF that Shadow gray was available on 1991 on. Shadow grey is slightly darker I believe than the medium gray of 1990 and older.

The Shadow Grey is slightly darker than the older grey colour.

While I'm not sure 100% about fitment of pre-89 bezels on 89+ cars, I know the driver's side is different for sure, you would need the 89+ one for proper fitment (or you need to modify the pre-89 one).

Your best bet is to simply order the new bezel from Toyota.

Jeff has the best idea of buying the bezel you need. Finding the later bezel will be much harder to obtain on Ebay than the pre 89 ones.

Yes i do know shadow grey is slightly darker so i take it i need to get a shadow grey window switch bezel
