I was told i need a '89+ oil pressure sending unit for my 1987 NA supra. Im going NA-T

Is there a difference from the pre-89 oil pressure sending units, from the 89+ ones?

Or do i jsut need a turbo one?

no. you need an '89+ sensor. it doesn't matter whether or not the car is turbo. the OP sending units were identical between turbo and N/A. they are smaller from '89-'92.

the only difference is size.

the reason you need it is because jon at MDC made the kit using an '89+ oil pressure sending unit. the larger one contacts the block (and won't actually screw in) as you could see when i was at your place working on the motor.

an '89+ sensor has a smaller diameter, and will not contact the block when screwed in horizontally as the N/A->T kit calls for.
