89 N/A vs 3rd Gen. Eclipse

I was riding in the fast lane on I-285 East at about 75 mph when I started coming up on this 3rd Gen. Eclipse, so I give a little flash of the high beams to let him know I am coming up quickly. Instead of moving over one lane and letting me go on my way, this dipshit flicks his cigarette out of his sunroof and hits my hood. WTF!!!:icon_evil So I pulled up close to his bumper honking and flash the lights, he then proceeds to move over 2 lanes and slow down to about 45 mph. I moved over 1 lane and slow down so I was window to window with the dumbass and give him the finger. This guy blips the throttle like he wants to run, so I drop down into third and give the nod. Through the rest of 3rd gear I pick up 3 or 4 feet, up shift to 4 and it was a wrap. I think I got about 2 - 2.5 car lengths before he got out of the throttle. I really wanted to get out of the car and beat his ass for flicking a cigarette at me, but I had to be some where so I took a win instead!!

I didn't just fly up to guys bumper at first. The initial flash was just to let him know I was moving faster than him in the fast lane and I would have no where to go. Its not like I could move to the left anymore. I have been flashed many times if someone is running faster then me in the left lane and I move over to the right or pick up the pace. The fact is he flicked a cigarette at my car for no good reason. He is lucky I didn't run him off the road and kick ass. He just had to take a loss!!

You guys need to drive in Atlanta to see how many slow people drive on the fast lane. They think they rule the road, going 60mph on the fast lane when everyone is going 80mph trying to past them.....

I flash my lights all the time at people on the fast lane... Since I can't "legally" past on the right lane, I make them move..... :bigthumb:

You guys need to drive in Atlanta to see how many slow people drive on the fast lane. They think they rule the road, going 60mph on the fast lane when everyone is going 80mph trying to past them.....

I agree with Trackmkiii and Tubbie. In ohio the speed limit is 65, so everone usually will run 70ish. But then there is always someone who`ll get on and swing in the fast lane and slow to 60ish, thats when ill be comin up and flash them and they usually will move. So flashing is normal around here.

I usually give the car infront a quick flash of the highbeams when im in a hurry,Usually they get the message and oblige but then u get the assholes who just stay level with the car next to them,Im aware of what cars are around and where they are in relation to me so if i see someone bearing down on my quickly them i make the move to get out their way,esp wary with bikes as they can move so quick.
If you look at your light stalk you will see a arrow saying "PASS" I got told by a biker that in germany you have to yield if you get flashed on the autobahn as someone wants to pass you.Whether this is true or not i dont know but it does make sense.

^ i heard about that too. autobahn is really strict about obstructions on that road, you have to get out of peoples ways if they are really moving, lane changes have to be very well anounced no one sec flash of blinker and then move, and its illegal to run out of gas.

This is true. Its very rude to just ride in the left lane on the Autobahn. If you are in the left lane over there you NEED to be passing people, and I don't mean taking 1/2 mile to pass them, I mean 20-30mph difference. When we were over there my dad would forget about this and we got flashed at all the time. Not that we were going "slow" but we just weren't passing fast enough.

I got on his "ass honking and flashing" after he decided to flick his cigarette at my car, basically because I flashed him to let him know I was coming and I didn't want to slow down the cars that were following me. I don't see what that has to do with thinking my car is cool. It is a Supra and yes I think they are cool just like everyone else on this forum probably does!! I wasn't being an asshole until he decided to be!! I have always respected the flash of a car moving faster than me if I am in the left and I think everyone else should just because if you are in the left lane there is no where else to go and you are not supposed to pass on the right. What was I supposed to do?

yeah it is like that in germany as well. Faster traffic will flash the ones in front of them when they are coming up. Im not sure if it is required by law, but they def do it. I remember cruising along at about 100mph in my celica and some BMW would flash me. You got to remember some of these guys will cruise at 130-150 depending on the ride, if you dont move the hell out of the way quickly it could, potentially, become a serious problem. I remember when I first got back to the states and rode on the hwy, it was crazy as hell. I had gotten so used to traveling at triple digit speeds it was mind boggling to travel at 60 like it was alright, even seeing the white lines between the lanes and them not appearing as one solid line was wild, lol.

You guys gotta drive in NYC, not only is everybody a complete asshole on the road, but we have potholes everywhere some highways are worse than others. Dont forget the constant traffic everywhere. the thing that really sucks is we have those people who go 55 in the left but then u got cab drivers and SUV cutting threw lanes at like 80 so we get the worse of the worse here.
