Item number 1 is an air flow meter, not a mass air flow meter. No, you shouldn't put the meter in spot number 2.

A MAF conversion can be done that way.

Where does the T on the BOV signal go?

Why are you using ported vacuum on the FPR? Where does the other end of that T go?

Thats easy it goes to the true vacuum nipple on EVC

FPR's need manifold vacuum. Youll need to reset the fuel pressure.

The 2 small lines on the TB are ported vacuum (not manifold vacuum), and are for evap and EGR, and it looks like you dont have either one, so cap those lines (at the TB) and start fresh.

The "stock sensor assy turbo pressure" is your stock boost gauge, and also needs manifold vacuum.

^ that would be helpful if the setup was even close to stock, which it is not.

There a few manifold vac lines;
there is a small line at the back of the intake, below the brake booster line
the brake booster line
one that you are currently using for BOV
one that the stock system uses for BOV (cant remember where that is exactly at the moment, but its buried)

Many use a large vacuum line (ie brake booster) and a vacuum block, to get signal to numerous components, but there are many ways to get the job done.

ok so do i have a MAF or just a airflow regulator, heres some pics,,,,,,,,, i dont think the hks evc is hooked up right, its prettymuch fully custom,,,,,,,,, questions - is the intercooler stock in the picture.... how do i hook up afm boost gauge, what kind of auto tranny do i have? it says M on it and is that a good idea for cooling the turbo, oil line tapped into the oil pan?

yes that is a stock intercooler. That is the return line from the oil cooler that is hooked to your oil pan. Your FPR is not hooked up right. It looks to me like you have some steel vacuum lines missing. You probably don't have your VSV's either. And just hook up a vacuum line from the back of your gauge to manifold vacuum.

And if you have a manual trans and it came stock turbo. That means you have the r154. If you have an auto its most likely a A3040E.

manual to manual. shouldn't be hard at all. auto to manual you need quite a bit of stuff to get it done.

i have a 89 with a manual transmission, my 88 7mgte is auto, looks like i could just switch em over..... would i need to switch ecu's aswell? or get another ecu from a manual 7mgte?

oh and the knocking i think what it is is the internal wastegate from the turbo, its like cack cack cack cack ish noise
