I have a 88 7mgte with 550cc injectors and I just installed a map-ecu on it. But before I get it tuned I have some questions that I was hoping someone could help me out with.
First: Is there a target AFR that you would want to achieve at part throttle acceleration and part throttle cruise vs. WOT if so what is it?
Second: I have been talking to the host of the map-ecu web site (Map-Ecu Man) and asked him how to adjust the map-ecu to avoid fuel cut and he told me Removing fuel cut comes down to how you setup the fuel table if it is caused by the karman vortex frequency. You just need to limit the values in the fuel table below the cut frequency. That is all a FCD will do. Extending it is better just in case you get a boost spike (e.g. jammed wastegate) and run lean. Eliminating your fuel completely is very dangerous.)So my question is what is the fuel cut frequency for a 88 supra turbo?
Third: Does backing up the fuel cut cause you to go lean at full boost?
Fourth: How lean is to lean for this car?
