I would say a few things would play into a sleeper look for a engine bay, but mostly color. Like satin or flat black intercooler piping and intercooler, black rubber boots for the intercooler piping as well. When you put a fuel pressure regulator on, you could look for one that is already black or have it powder coated so. If you run stainless braided lines, get them in black or have rubber hoses made with the correct fittings on the ends.

Next I would say a heat shield over the exhaust housing on the turbo will help with temperature control and would look more factory.

No matter how hard you try, It won’t be that hard to spot aftermarket parts but you can do your best to conceal them. Good luck!

yea im thinking that my gauge pod is already kinda putting a nail in the coffin of the sleeper look and whats gonna be the most effective way to hit the 500 horse goal in thinking metal hg and some new piston and rings set for sure but im kinda lost beyond that point

I have to agree with KickRocks that a sleeper should appear to be as close to stock looking as possible and as Chambers pointed out this will be difficult as it is relatively easy to identify modifications. I am interested to see what route you take as I am contemplating something along these lines myself, however my engine goals are lower. I would make some suggestions based off what I plan to do but that would be untested (at least by me) information and would rather allow the more knowledgeable peeps to tune in. However, I wish you the best of luck and I will be watching your progress.
