Ok guys,

whats the deal on the oil pump? we are building up a spare engine for our lemons car, using a cresida core, leaving it pretty much stock except for ARP connecting rod bolts and head studs.

Gotta change the oil pan, we have that covered, but need to find an oil pump. does the turbo motor use the same pump? is there aftermarket options? highflow?

any info you have is helpfull,

thanks in advance and happy new year!

I'm told the cressida pan does not fit in the Supra, is that incorrect? I do have the supra oil pan, and the OEM lasted 250K miles, the last 10000 miles s in endurance races lasting 14 - 20 hours, so it s worked pretty well!

Ummm that's my point, the Cressida Pan HAS to use the small pump, the big GTE pump only fits the Supra Pan but if you made a custom pickup for the GTE pump you might get it to fit in the Cressida pan.

Thanks for the clarification, my concern was on the other end - and i was not clear about it. I am taking a crssida engine and putting it into a supra. Does the cressida pan fit into the supra engine bay without modification?

Ahhh got ya!

Thought you were using it in a Cressida for some reason, as Kyle pointed out grab a Supra Pan and a GTE Pump check the pump clearences shim the relief 5mm and you're good to go!

There's a lot of BS Oil improvements floating around and I've yet to see ANY data that they do anything other than lighten your wallet, there are no "high flow pumps" and there are quite a few high HP 7M's running on the stock internal pipes/banjo fittings without failure.

^^ Ditto. I try telling people this all the time, but they think the AZP mandrel bent oil pipe is night and day. Stick with the stock one it works just fine!
