battery cables that go to the starter or the connections at the starter. clean the green off of them and get them shiny.

I already tried pouring soda on them but I am gonna give them a quick scrub down and see if it works...

Now could it be the starter itself????
I found one on E-bay for 50 bucks and got a quote from a local mechanic for $95 to replace.

Is that a good price or should I just get the specs from the internet and just try it myself. I would say I am beginner when it comes to working on cars.

Contact disk on the solenoid/relay. It gets corroded and "potatoe chipped";)
Unfourtnetly you cant get a screwdriver down there to test out the actualy motor:(

You can't clean the green off them, there fubar when there at that point.
95 dollars is reasonable, if you have tools and are willing, it's just nuts and bolts;) I've never done a starter on these, and heard its a bitch, i'm sure someones done a write up somewhere, search. Good luck.

Little bird who replaced 3 POS "rebuilds" says "buy-oem". Search SM and you will find many others that say "buy oem".

Did you try hitting it with a hammer? Really...
