I'm working on a 87T for a guy. The car was brought to me with no plumbing done on the intake. I hooked up all the pipes and vacuum hoses, set the CPS properly, set the timing etc... The car fires right up every time and idles perfect. When i give it gas it seems to have slow response and chokes out around 3K cant tell if fuel or ignition is cutting out. All cylinders are firing under idle. I changed the oil and noticed there were about 9-10 Quarts in the engine "DOH" He said the CPS was changed a year ago but I dont know. Does this sound like a common problem? I am mre a 7MGE guy but this isnt completely foreign to me. Any help would be appreciated. BTW: I checked for codes and all I get is a speed sensor problem (probably from reving it.) and a #52 knock sensor signal.
