87 turbo supra intake manifold ?

What is the sensor that's right next to the tps its bolted to the intake manifold not the throttle body? Can I block this off? I've tried to find this out on my own before asking but can't find anything about it so please any help would do thanks in advance.

Take a pic. You might be thinking of the IAC. Why do u wanna block it off?

Ill post up a pic soon and I've wire tucked everything and deleted all the emissions and trying to get rid of everything else that's not needed. And I'm polishing everything I can I would like to know if I need it?
