notice how it says avoid continuous pressures over 8psi may cause engine damage. good luck telling most supra owners these days to keep boost under 8psi lol

You should know as much about the repair and maintenance of your new Toyota Supra as the people who built it.

Laugh. My. Ass. Off.

It's almost like they knew...

I like the part in there about "modifying your Toyota could cause unexpected performance".

I don't know how that is funny. If only people would do as they stated in the owners manual, there would be fewer problems.

I like the part where it explains the conditions under which overheating (entering the red zone of the gauge) is normal (in traffic with AC on, and low speed driving after leaving the highway IIRC).

i find it funny because most of our cars won't run 8psi or below just off the wastegate let alone with boost controller on ;)

I believe that the 8psi thing was meaning running for long periods (30+ seconds, IIRC, in my owners manual). If you run the car under that much boost for that long (climbing a long steep hill for example), it's pretty hard on the cooling system.

Nick does have a good point though, if things were left like they were set at the factory and nobody modified them, these cars probably would last longer... However, if left 100% alone, you'd have Camrys whooping Supra ass all day long. :nono:
