87 tranny on a 90 body?

Is there a different bolt pattern when it comes to the R154 tranny setup on an 87 compared to a 90.

Also, I have a A/T harness from a 90?

Any help?

I'm having problems get the clutch and tranny linned up. comes from my previous post about the different clutchs. Between a twinturbo clutch and a single turbo clutch

the 7m block is the same through all years...any year tranny should fit in any year block assuming its all mk3 stuff...

as for clutches....what do you mean by single turbo and twin turbo?

yup. I got an ebay clutch(asking for trouble) They said, "..will apply to a turbo tranny."

Sometimes the tranny is a bitch!
it took me a while to get mine on. put a socket and breaker bar on the other side and turn the engine over. also you can tip the engine back a little to get a better line up on it. once you get it right, it will just slide in

tell me this is right and that all it needs a little adjustment before i got out and buy another clutch
