Why do you want to try 400 whp on an N/A 7M??
You planning on just spraying the crap out of it? Because that's the only way you'll get anywhere near 400.

Just save yourself a lot of hassle and go turbo or 1J.

Doesn't matter how good your machine shop is.... you can only "machine" it so far.
I wish you the best of luck, but 400 isn't going to happen N/A on a 7m

Just because you've never seen it being done doesn't mean it cannot be done.
Anything is possible with enough money and brain power and testing.

mass_jdm_kid - you have a clean car man. I hope you get to make that 400hp or so. That would be fun to see.

That's an incredibly clean and beautiful Supra you have there, man. As for your 400hp N/A goals, tell us what your budget is. Because you're going to spend some coin achieving it, or at least trying. 400HP means an specific output of 133hp/lt, out of almost 3L of displacement. Which pistons, conn rod, cams, injectors and ignition system (to name a few systems) are you going to use? What is your target compression ratio? What are your plans for the crank and bottom end bearings? What are your plans for the librication system and valvetrain? Just so you know what you're up against, the 2007 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, which some people have described as "the absolute pinnacle of achievement in terms of thoroughbred Ferrari sportiness and technology", makes "only" 103hp/lt out of 6 lt of displacement. It has continuously variable timing on both the intake and exhaust cams to optimize torque delivery and drivability at both low and high revs. So if you're setting out to do better than this, go for it, and do keep us informed. I look forward to see you try it. But whatever you do, don't ruin that clean Supra body you got there.
