87 - 89 mirrors

I took off the hideous Pre89 mirrors on my 88' and put on 89+ mirrors. Looks 10 times better. Also, yes, just to clarify again, it fits perfectly.
Pop off the inner plastic piece on the inside, un screw 3 screws and unplug the power mirror plug. Swap. Wah-lah! :D

....Looks just like an 89+...;)

Really nothing special or unique. Just makes you do a double-take on whether it's an 89+ or Pre89.

I have heard the wind noise phenomenon before but don't know first hand.

nice. don't know what to tell ya- on the few car's i've swapped 'em you always end up w/extra wind noise. my guess is the rubber part is conformed to the <'88 side mirror shape.....

Honestly I didn't notice any diffrence between the two. I never really paid much attion to the mirriors on uor cars, I thought they were the same. Learn something new every day i guess.
