are there any differences in these two na engines? i was working on getting mine running right today, when i was checking some of the vacuum lines i figured i would look at my 87 na to see if there was any differences and the vacuum lines on my 86.5 are all mixed up compared to my 87. the 87 was running fine until it broke a rod but the 86.5 runs good for about 2 minutes then starts sputtering like hell.

I dont believe there is a difference... i will check and get back unless otherwise corrected.

Edit: i wouldnt think that the layout wouldve been changed drastically for 86.5 to 87. Here is a link to the TSRM and you can look at some of the EGR components and see if they match up.

Or, of course, you could wait for someone with an N/A to chime in a save you some time.

all 7mge's from supras should be identical, save for the wiring. (which really isnt all that different, except for some connectors and whatnot that make them NON-interchangable.)

so then the vacuum routing should be the same? my motor was rebuilt and i dont think the guy quite knew what he was doing, so alot of the vac lines are mixed up.

evil: try looking at the vacuum diagram on the underside of the hood of the car. :) that might help you a little bit. the vacuum routing should be the same.

sabotage: yes, all 7m's swapped from 6m to 7m cranks after 1989. :)
