82 Supra Info

I found an 82 Supra that a guy is selling for $650, Just wondering what info you guys can give me on the 82 model year?

Late model 81s had them too. My dad's ran for 480k with no problems, other than the body falling apart

Late model 1981 = 1982, mk2s came about in JUL or AUG 81

Wrong, 1982 and 1983 had external fuel pumps. They also had a unique AFM, that is desirable for 3rd generation Celicas. This year 5MGE was 8.8:1 compression, 145hp 150ft/lbs

1982 Supras also had the radio antenna in the windshield, 85mph speedometer, blah blah blah

depends any rust? whats the color? hows the interior? i picked up my 85 rust free bad interior for 200. i picked up my 84 nice all the way around for 200 plus 150 to haul it home. with the two i will make one great 85 with a 7m ge. pics would be a great help. but really you should go to Celicasupra.com

Starting in August 1981, but it's MY1982, not 81.

Could use the wrap around turn signals up front, but you learn to live w/o them.

The antenna in the windshield is a huge + also, really good reception too.

My 85-86 comment was in regards to the complete car not just the things I mentioned.

Mainly the rear spoiler.
