ok so my set up in my cressida is a 7mgte, turbo injectors with the n/a distributer and ecu. does anyone have this set up too and push their motor hard? im just worried about having no ignition control with the na ecu. i run 92 gas and 1bar of boost. its been holding up fine with the previous owners... it runs real rich but i could just run a safc for that.. would i be fine with no ignition control? thanks

you made it over here huh. I dont see why not because the KA24de guys run turbos with a distributor. maybe get an msd 6a box for it to get a better spark?? and time it back some?

Hmm... might be a problem, the stock GTE ECU has built in timing adjustments. However, we cannot adjust the ECU timing amounts, and we push WAY over that level of power through the stock ECU, so I think you should be safe enough.

You're running the GTE block and pistons, so you have the lower compression, so more safety factor there as well.

Hopefully one of the NA - T guys will chime in here.

Main issue would be the NA ECU has no way of knowing about boost.

So it can't pull the timing back when the motor is + Boost.

It becomes a compromise in that you need enough timing to make it drive nice off boost but not too much so it detonates when on boost......

so something like that msd box that pulls timming when under boost would be good?
