is it possible to put a 7m head on 5m

and what are the difference to go 7m that are better than just boosting a 5m

Why? 0.2L sure it will make a little more torque, but for cost to HP ratio is what i am talking about here

specifically why is it better other than literage. Yes its 4valve per cyclinder but Boosted how much will this matter, so dont say that it "flows better" unless its really significant

i have wanted to do this aswell, in theroy, well my therory, it's possible, and you would have a 2.8L 24v turbo motor. which would be teh shit! lol

if the bore's are the same dia, best to use the turbo piston's

I will be upgrading to forged pistons and rods. Does anyone have any real info on what makes the 7m better other than 2wice the valves

what years are later model, and what does reinforced mean...thicker sleeves? and how much would any of this matter for 400whp

(oil squirters can be added to the 5m right?)

The first post in my thread has comparison pics of the late model 7m vs 5m vs 2jz. It would not be possible to add oil squirters to the 5m block.

Does it matter then to have oil squirters. Which way is faster for less $? 5mgte or 7mgte

Why is that...if the 5m outflows the 7m

The 5m head doesn't outflow the 7m head without costly modifications.
The 5m rods are longer and thinner. read: weaker
The oil squirters are not a must, but there is a reason they are on the turbo motors.
The shorter stroke will be good for higher rpm, but the reduction in displacement will decrease horsepower slightly.

I think the payoff will be in the performance aspects like throttle response and smooth power delivery.
