from what I understand if you bypass it or dont use one you might have a gas smell inside the car, but I think you can run without one. If you dont mind or notice the smell.

yeah.

Canister has shit to do w/ gas

you can run one if u dont need to pass emissions.

Very short vague answer.

no need to get in very large detail.

You should be ok as long as there is no line going from your gas tank into the engine bay, maybe rerun it under the car. but I would read the two threads I linked.

if you go back to school and learn to read , i said Yeah Canister has to something to do with gas. i wasnt Disagreeing with you, before you try and argue with me, learn to read

Calm down kids ;). If you don't have to worry about emissions where you live (like me, lol) you can take the canister out, just cap off any unused vacume ports. If you take it off DO NOT plug up the gas line that went to it! Take the hard pipe to it and re-route it out of the engine bay to get rid of the fumes, and keep the hose away from your tires ;).

With this statement, I was under the impression it is ok to tap this off as long as you drill a hole in your gas cap to vent it back there instead of up front. I had 3 or 4 people tell me this last week when I asked this question.

As long as the tank has a hole it can breathe out of it should be fine. Why cap off the line if you're putting a breathing point on the gas tank somhweres else? Just go ahead and take the line completely off if you're doing that ;). I think I've heard something about putting a hole in the gas cap can make the gas bubble back out of it in some circumstances...:dunno:

Why make a new hole when there's already one dedicated to that purpose? Just take some time with getting that line out of your engine bay and you should be fine ;).

yes, if the tank is full and it is hot outside the gas can expand enough to over flow through the drilled cap. speaking from experience.
