7MGTE timing issues

Is the timing supposed to advance when increasing RPM with the TE1 and E1 pins jumped?

Also when checking timing with a light, how steady is the mark supposed to be with a good working ignition system? Mine tends to be "vibrating" about with about 1/4" travel.

Seems normal, and absolutely when you increase the RPM the ignition timing with advance.

ok thanks. I'm just trying to sort out some kinks in my car, it's been acting up, different problems coming up here and there. I been suspecting my cps so just wanted to confirm that piece of info. thanks again.
