What kind of transmission can be use on a 7mge or GTE, since I don't have a R154....
what transmission can be useful as daily driving and drag...
a. R154
b. w58
c. w55
d. Chevy camaro t56 tranmission
e. jerico
f. G-force
g. getrag
Making like 600HP to the wheels, what trans can be use every day, and every event on drag. If it isn't r54 or w58... what type of work has to be done to match transmission to the engine block...

Ok the thing is to get an R154... but basically it can hold anything I put on it with Marlin Crawler ?

Lol like kenny said unless you have very deep pockets you'll be safe. Idk personally what the breaking hp average is for a marlin crawler but I know I've read nothing but great things for them.

w58 vs r154 vs getrag... i think rebuilding an r154 with marlin crawler will be the cheapest and be able to hold your power. Not sure about the other ones. Tbh if you find a decent condition r154 it will prob last you a bit as you increase in power, then just to be safe go rebuild with MC, or driftmotion also is rebuilding with MC parts i believe its $999 + shipping both ways for DM.

There are R154 transmissions holding over 1000hp... and the one I know about personally isn't even a Marlin Crawler unit. You're going to blow up a LOT of other stuff before you start popping R154s. I'd be more worried about a clutch - there's a few that will hold that high, but they cost more than double what the R154 will. And flywheel bolts. And driveshafts. And front damper pulleys. I've seen all of those broken, usually to the detriment of a bunch of other parts as well.

if u mean a w58, it will bolt rite up. the differance is the clutch slave, clutch, and the splines on the output shaft. not sure if the bell housing is different. dont think it is. you should be alright for about 350 to 375 on a w58. my question is is the gearing different from a 154 to a 58?

The w58 is mostly shorter than the 154, I believe. I know for a fact the 154 has a taller 5th gear ratio
