A friend of mine wants to know if I want to buy his 7mgte intake cam for like 20 bucks. Is it worth putting in?(even if it only makes like a 1% gain), will it blow anything up and what actual hp increase do you thing it would add

You'll lose power. Toyota didn't spend the money to make two different intake camshafts for the 7m engines for fun.
what ajay said, the NA cam is suspose to give you gains on the GTE side, but as i have a the GE head on my GTE, i dont even feel the difference.
but as its a diff cam, your gonna have to re-shim the one side to match the cam now.
unless your cam is shot, and its only option to get it drivable again, no its not worth it
