hey guys...

over the weekend just newly installed new intercooler and re-routed piping differently so it routes behind and underneath the plenium, new oil catch can and ct26 .57trim turbo. made sure all the piping and vac lines are correctly tight and so fort.
Now everytime i give it a lil boost like 2psi to 3 psi below stock boost to test how it feels im geting the the engine light pop up and then shuts off about 5 secs later.

I've done diagnostic and all im getting is AFM and hac sensor, have also tested my afm in another cressida 7mgte and its fine.. by the way i have a 7mgte auto ecu re-wired to a w58 box.

I wasnt having these problem before i put these new stuff in.

Do i have to reset the ECU? or suffin?

@ the moment my mods
Ct26 .57trim
intercooler Evo 6
after market BOV plumback
pod filter
oil catch can

Well, not being much of one for coincidence, I'd say that it's something you've done.

What codes are you getting? TSRM Page FI-23 will tell you how to check codes.

You can also try resetting the ECU by pulling the ECU fuse for 15 seconds, but this sounds like it'll come back anyway.

And you can get rid of that (actually raise the fuel cut limit) by getting a lexus afm and doing a fuel system.

im only giving my car 2psi to 3 psi worth of boost which is well below stock boost.

well looks like i have to install it.....

thanks guys...

I would suspect you have a pretty big boost leak somewhere as the cause of the code 34...The AFM looks at air volume, not psi. Also check your harness connection at the AFM. Did you happen to clean the inside of the AFM with something like carb cleaner?

Your PCV system is not good...the routing is wrong and relies on the vac source at the accordion hose...the only time you will have positive vac is under boost and it will be weak at that. You need to use the vac source at the TB (like stock) for the other 90% of the time you are not in boost.

Just DONT hook it up as pictured in the 2nd link jdub posted.

Later in the thread the issue was resolved.

He never acutally said what the codes were. AFM and HAC. So you have intake temp sensor code. See what I am getting at?

Incorrect airflow meter readings are a big problem when it comes to running right. So, it actually is the problem. The airflow meter says one thing, when something else is going on.

Do you have a 34 as jdub brought up?

Well, if that was a code 34...

Anyway, the thing to remember is that boost pressure isn't what triggers FCO, it's airflow. With an upgraded or larger turbo, there will be more flow at the same pressure. This is a good thing, but saying that FCO happens at X PSI isn't necessarily accurate. A number of factors influence the value of X, and it'll be different on different motors with different mods.
