7MGTE: Couple Questions

Hey all,

Just got my car running with my new engine and have a few questions

1. Will tranny fluid leak out of the speedo cable connector on the end of the tranny if the cable is not attached?

2. Will anything bad happen if I temporarily (couple weeks) hook my afm straight onto the 3000 pipe?

(I'm trying to get my IC piping to fit properly and so I thought this might be a safe hack to run without the turbo)

You cannot do it.

2. It would basically be like running a NA with Turbo Electronics, should be fine but don't expect much power.

^^^ I would think that you will fry your turbo since theres no pressure/boost in your turbo so your waste gate will never open to relieve that turbo. Also correct me if I am wrong but doesn't the turbo require pressure on the internal plates to keep the oil from leaking out?

Not sure what this means but it sounds like he doesn't have his turbo installed and thats how I took it.

If he tried to run it this way with his turbo installed that would be bad as you say.
