Hello !
Started up my project 7mgte today but ran in some snags.
Car starts and idles fine , kinda around 500 rpm, but as soon as I give gas, it bogs and dies.
It has new plugs and wires. Vacums are all plugged in. Checked AFM Sensor and works fine.

The interesting thing is that when I keep punching the gas pedal, the car will start to rev and if I depress the pedal all the way, it will rev. It feels like it does not have much power though.

Engine is healthy : just bogs and dies when giving gas.
Tried checking for codes but the CEL light kept blinking continuosly.

I will also check timing > could it be off?
Any ideas???

CPS or TPS I think was my problem. Pretty sure my symptoms were similar to that but I think I was off on aligning the cps or it was the shitty wiring. Damn it's been so long I forgot. I was thinking it had to do with the timing though.

On a side note the gte is gonna start getting pulled tomorrow :icon_bigg so you can stop bothering me about that. :icon_razz

Yeah I'll check the CPS wiring again. Re wire it if I have to.

YEah Chris, good suggestion.
I will try and check the fuel pressure vacuum and all that once again.
Car was in a mess when i got it ..so I will give a good checkup today.
I need to get it running as I have someone who wants to trade with me for a Celica : and a complete All Trac Turbo rebuilt motor for it as well ...with a ecu and harness...... hehe

Timing or dead cyl. Check the cams also.

I had the same problem, one of the wires broke off my cps start there ohm it out from the ecu to the cps plug easiest way
