I have a 7MGE that probably has a blown piston ring or piston. I havent taken it apart to find out what it is yet. It has 148k on it. I want to sell the engine and 5 speed tranny. The transmission wont shift into 3rd. I was thinking about parting it out. Does anyone kno another way to make the most money out of it? I'm getting another car and then im buying a 7MGTE and completely rebuild it from the bottom up. My goal will be about 550HP. Maybe more. So I need to sell this engine/tranny and get as much as possible to fund the other engine. So should I part it out or just sell the both as a whole to be rebuilt?
