OK, so removed the Torque Converter from the busted engine and was going to put it on the good engine. Now when I look at the housing that covers the crank shaft/rear oil seal. the recessed area on the crankshaft end looks larger in the old 7m compared to the one I am replacing it with.
Will this be a problem?
I don't think this cranksahft was specifically made for an auto tranny, but want to make sure. This may just be drillled for a different lathe which balances or cuts the crank, but I just want to make sure that the torque converter will bolt on regardless if the engine was originally a 5 speed or not?
Thanks guys.
Moe.
